This weekend was a long one for me! First Communion.
3 Masses. 41 kids.
4 last-minute baptismal candles were needed.
And in the end, all these sweethearts received Jesus for the first time!

I will tell you, it was 100% less stressful than it was last year. I think simply not having a first communicant of my own is primarily the reason. But even still. I got to Friday and I was convinced I had forgotten to do something. (I hadn't.)
I took a good nap yesterday afternoon!
God bless you—you must be exhausted!! There is SO much to your job—I don’t know how you do it. The parents of those First Communicants must be so appreciative of all you do in your parish to make events like that go off without a hitch. I’m sure you make it look easy—and I know it isn’t!
