Advent By Candlelight

Our parish's Altar and Rosary Society has an Advent by Candlelight evening for ladies every year. It's a nice night to socialize and focus on the meaning of Advent and Christmas. This year I hosted a table, which meant that I put the table together.

I had never been to the event before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it turned out quite well!




I tried to make it pretty with what I had. And then we did get a few things from the dollar store. My friend saved the day when I went to set up and realized that I didn't bring water glasses and we don't really have any.

It was a wonderful evening with some really excellent food! And most importantly some wonderful time with friends to focus on this month. The perfect first night of Advent.

    Your table is beautiful. Actually, they all look so festive and lovely. I used to host a table at the annual fashion show/silent auction at our boys' Catholic high school. I invited the same 7 gals each year to join me at my table--it was so much fun, something we all looked forward to. Good food, good conversation. I miss doing things like that!
