So we watched the premiere last night and darn it all, I DO like it. I wasn't looking to start a show that's on TV right now. I am very happy with my Netflix thank you very much. But alas, the show is good. And the twist that I legit did not see coming makes me even more interested.
It's so weird because KIND OF A SPOILER....
I totally was calling BS on the fact that the hospital wasn't monitoring her very well for a triplet birth. But it never occurred to me what was actually happening. Until it all made sense and oh... I am going to like this.
So there go my Tuesday evenings. Until they move it to Thursday. Or Sunday. Or wherever they will move it because this may be us but it is also NBC. I do appreciate their answer to taking Parenthood off the air though. It hits all the same notes.
What are you watching this season? Anything good?
I want to watch this but my husband said it didn't look like something he would enjoy. So I may have to watch this one on my own!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I don't watch any current TV and haven't for a long, long time. So, this wasn't even on my radar. But today I went to ECFE aka "mommy and me class" and some women were talking about it and one said both her husband and her cried. But they didn't give anything away. Then someone posted on fb, the short couple minute clip of the doctor talking to the dad about "the sourest lemons one could get and making some lemonade" and I balled liked a baby at my desk at work. I had to get up and leave and go into the Adoration Chapel (I work at the parish office that is connected to the chapel) and just sit there and cry. It hit so close to home with our miscarriages. So I didn't haven't anything pressing to do tonight, so I decided to find it online and watch it. I thought the first few minutes were ugh...but the rest, oh my goodness, was good. And the spoiler...DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! But then again, wait...yeah, that makes so much more sense. The "terrible towel" hello...I am a football fan and got that reference, the labor like you said, etc.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I will actually remember to sit down and watch it, but I do thank them for that beautiful talk in the hospital corridor. What a way to talk about the preciousness of life! So very life affirming. And seriously, the female twin, she is a hoot and I really enjoyed her scenes.
(And totally off topic, but we are back and everything went fine. Thanks for being my potential cover!)
I loved it! It was so intense and I bawled like a baby at the end. Definitely must see tv.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are watching Parenthood on Netflix right now (we have daughters-in-law that want to be Bravermans, I swear!). We never saw it when it was on TV, and we're hooked.
ReplyDeleteSo now I may have to check this show out! (Just when I swore there was nothing worth watching on regular TV anymore.)
