Here we go again, it's another Thursday coming around and the theme of the day is knots.
Now I don't camp. Or sail. And I didn't stay in Girl Scouts long enough to get to knots. But I did take stage craft. And advanced stage craft. And I was in a competition for stage craft that involved tying knots fast. I am proficient at several easy knots and a few slightly more complicated ones. My favorite is the bowline. Or a knot that won't slip. "The bunny comes out of the hole, around the tree and back down the hole."
But I don't have any rope.
But you know what else I am proficient at? Tie Blankets. I have tons of them. I have made even more because they make really good gifts. So here are three blankets that live in the cedar chest in the living room. These are in addition to the blankets that live on the chair and couch respectively. You can never have too many blankets available in a living room. As you never know when the need for a blanket fort or impromptu sleepover will arise.
So three blankets and their knots.
Have an amazing start to August and I will meet you back here next week for statues. I have no idea at all what I am going to do for statues. But... it should be interesting. Check out other knots too.
I have a few of these made myself and you are right! You can never have too many blankets.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to make one of those! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteMy kids use those tie blankets as their main source of warmth at night. So comfy.
