Catching Fire

You guys. I went with my friend to see The Hunger Games Catching Fire last night. (We went at 8:45. Neither of us was crazy enough to stay up for a midnight release these days.)

The movie was emotional. Captivating. Beautiful even. Honestly I thought the book was the weakest of the trilogy. This movie was not only better than the first but also possibly better than the book?!?!

It was so good. Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz are amazing. Just amazing. Go see this movie. Well if you know what's going on go see it. If you haven't seen the first one I maybe wouldn't just dive in to this one.

But otherwise go.

  1. My DH and I saw it this afternoon. So, so, so very good! I thought the movie was better than the 1st and that is saying something, because I thought the first was good as well. But it was just so…yeah…like you said emotional, beautiful, captivating…all good descriptors. I though, didn't like the 3rd book because of all of the violence, it just seemed over the top. I am not sure how they will handle that in the 2-part finale, but hopefully they will do the 1st two movies justice.

On a separate note, I saw the preview for Divergent and I remember your talking about that series, so I am going to order that at the Library.

Also, burning question - did you gals actually discuss the book at book club last night? Have a good weekend!
